How can I clean a large lambskin rug at home?
its white and says dry clean only
it has no stains just dirty from laying on it every day for 6 months
dry cleaning the rug is going to cost as much as the rug
Wash with Woolite by hand and after it air dries, use some kind of oil to soften the backing(skin). I use coconit oil, but any oil will do or even saddle soap. Just rub the oil between your palms and wipe it lightly over all the back. Then kinda knead the backing until it seems soft.
This will keep your rug like new.
