good authentic turkish dohner in bay area?
My husband and I used to live in Germany and we have been craving a dohner. We have found some sandwiches that come close but still are not the same. The bread is what is key we used to get this english muffin type bread but way softer, chewier and bigger. Does anyone know what I am talking about, and where to get one. I live in Fair field and am willing to drive far for one they are that good.
I am a big fan of doner kebap too . There are few in Ca:
1) Berkeley – Restaurant name : Ala Turca. They have doner.
2) West Portal by sf state university – Restaurant Name :Bursa . They used to have doner ,then they stopped serving it. But they have good Turkish food.
3) Rocklin CA – Restaurant name : Anatolian Table . Eat : Doner Plate, Lahmacun and shepherd`s salad.
4) GG`s Cafe Bistro in Laguna Beach Located on Pacific Coast Highway.
