What kind of theme could I do for my henna night?

So in my culture (I’m Turkish by the way^^) we have a event before the wedding for ladys which is basically just like a farewell from/for the mother and the family and to bid farewell they rub henna on the to-be brides palms and there’s like this sad leaving kind music girls sing in the background, then the rest of the night is dancing and having great times. My friend and I were discussing what themes we wanted for our henna night and she wanted to go for something vintage, which is what I want to do too but obviously can’t because it would just be like I’m copying her anyway so what other themes can I do? I’m thinking maybe a masquearade type of theme but does anyone have anything else? thanks heaps

why should you give up what you really want just because you friend wants to do the same thing. friends are often friends because they like the same sort of things and have the same interests, so you will find yourself doing similar things to your friends your whole life.

people who know you will not thing anything of it if you have the same theme since they already would know what type of interests you have.

if you want to vary a little from what your friend is doing, have an old fashioned victorian english tea party or if you want to do a vintage masquearade, do one from the 18th century or do an early 20th century flapper party (1920′s). that way you could still have the vintage incorporated into it.
